Unison Joints is proud to play a role in one of Brisbane’s most ambitious developments to date — a $3.6 billion multipurpose residential and entertainment precinct that’s reshaping the city skyline. This world-class destination will feature Australia’s largest casino resort, luxury residences, and an incredible sky deck offering panoramic views of the river city.
Our Scope
For this landmark project, Unison Joints was engaged by Multiplex to design, manufacture, and supply 892 metres of bespoke expansion joint systems, purpose-engineered for the demands of mixed-use environments combining high pedestrian activity with stringent fire and waterproofing requirements.
The project specification included:
Brass cover plates, bead blasted to achieve a P5 slip resistance rating, ensuring both durability and safety in public spaces.
Integrated fire barriers designed to meet AS/NZS standards, protecting against fire spread between structural elements.
Waterproof seals that maintain performance in all weather conditions, supporting the project’s longevity and compliance goals.
Precision, Performance & Presentation
Every Unison expansion joint system supplied for this project was custom designed to integrate seamlessly with the architectural finishes while maintaining structural functionality. The combination of aesthetic brass finishes and high-performance sealing systems reflects Unison’s ongoing commitment to merging form and function — providing solutions that perform as beautifully as they look.
