The new 24-hour Western Sydney International) Airport (WSI) will be a state-of-the-art piece of infrastructure, planned and designed with 21st-century thinking.

With Sydney’s aviation demand set to double over the next 20 years, the airport will help Sydney to meet this demand and provide a source of jobs and economic growth for the region.

The airport is a large, complex project with a significant construction task. The design emphasizes functionality, ensuring efficiency, and incorporates resilient planning for lasting impact.

We have over 30 years of experience, with our expansion joint systems installed in 23 international & domestic airports terminals. These systems are specially designed to address both seismic requirements and aesthetic considerations. To date we have supplied over 110 metres of seismic floor systems including heavy duty cover plates.

The aluminium cover plate was manufactured in our Brisbane factory to a slip resistance Class V tested to AS4586 2013.

Unison’s movement joint systems are clear anodised and are compatible with our expansion joint fire barrier and waterproof seal systems.

The cover plate is available in Stainless Steel, Bead-Blasted Aluminium, and Natural or Colour Anodised Aluminium.
